Welcome to IPK – where every day is filled with laughter and learning
We’re delighted you have taken the time to find out more about Ipswich Private Kindergarten and what our day care services can offer you and your family. We are committed to making sure that our private nursery is the right place for your child – and for you. We recognise the great trust you place in us when you leave your child at our nursery and we work hard to ensure that we live up to that responsibility.
This website contains important information about our policies and our day-to-day approach in providing quality child care and education. If you have any additional queries please do not hesitate to contact one of our management team who will be pleased to talk to you.
We believe that open, ongoing communication with parents is vitally important to enable us to give your child the best individual care, education and attention possible. At IPK we work very hard every day to create a warm and nurturing environment that is necessary for learning, growth and development.

We recognise it is of great importance that we employ well qualified, experienced staff members who have undergone an enhanced DBS check in order to maintain our high standards of care and education. We always have more staff than the minimum requirements as set by Ofsted. This enables the staff to spend more time with children individually.
To maintain our high standards, every member of staff is encouraged to take on further training, thus improving their knowledge in how to care for every child in every situation. Every member of staff is paediatrically first aid trained. Also, all of our staff hold certificates in Safeguarding Children and Food Safety, so you can be sure your child is in safe hands should there ever be an emergency situation.
The key person approach
During your child’s stay in each classroom at IPK he or she will be allocated a key person. Each member of staff is responsible for a small group of children to whom he or she will be their principal carer. This ensures that each child is treated as an individual and the consistency of staff gives your child a sense of security throughout the day. Your child’s key-worker is also your first point of contact should you wish to discuss any aspect of their care, progress or development.

A super nursery, our little girl has attended from 10 months ( now 3-5 years old and in the pre school room), having looked at several nurserys in the local area this was by far our favourite.
