Nutrition information

Ipswich Private Kindergarten Ltd cares about your child’s everyday diet. Take a look at some important information on diet and nutrition. Visit our kindergarten in Ipswich today.

Your child’s diet

We believe that good eating habits are more easily established when a child is young so we have a seasonal, 18-day rotating menu, which incorporates foods children love, but that are also planned to meet children’s daily nutritional needs. Our qualified chef has a commitment to providing a balanced diet incorporating lots of fresh fruit and vegetables in the daily two-course lunch and light tea. Additionally, breakfast can be provided at a small charge.

Special dietary requirements

Special dietary requirements can be catered for on request and appropriate food for weaning babies is also provided. Please make us aware of any dietary requirements on the registration form and ensure that we are kept up to date with any changes. For babies, we ask parents to supply milk feeds in clearly labelled bottles. Please note that we operate a ‘nut free setting’ and ask that any food brought it, e.g. preschool packed lunches or birthday cakes do not contain or ‘may contain’ nuts.

Bringing your own food

If you wish to bring any food (e.g. birthday cakes or sweets from holiday) into the nursery, please speak to your child’s key person beforehand, as we have to be mindful of food allergies and dietary requirements. We respectfully request that children do not bring alternative meal to those provided by the nursery as it can only pose problems for children with food allergies but it can also cause upsets and squabbles between children. For more information of your child’s clothing and personal belongings, contact us today.
