Education and curriculum

At Ipswich Private Kindergarten Ltd, we care about your child’s education and curriculum.

Your child’s development and education

An extensive range of toys, equipment and resources is available for every child in the nursery, enabling them to develop and progress within the Early Years Foundation Stage. All the classrooms offer self-selection toys and resources that are stored on low shelving so that children can independently access them. By allowing children to access the resources freely, they are able to initiate their own play as opposed to our staff telling them what to do and how to do it – this helps develop a child’s exploratory sense and encourages them to make discoveries and develop new skills through their play on a daily basis.

Special educational needs

Naturally, we cater for children with a wide range of special educational needs and we are well equipped and trained to work alongside the many specialists that are involved when a child has such special needs.

We have a qualified Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) on site who will work in partnership with the child’s parents and any involved agencies to develop an individual action plan that will aid in the development and progression of the child.

Comprehensive assessments

The staff also plan activities with specific learning intentions based on daily observations they make of the children. Comprehensive assessments are carried out on every child at regular intervals and the results of these assessments allow us to plan appropriate activities for the individual to ensure that they receive tailor-made care.
